Yes, actually, it’s not easy.

I’ve been having a hell of a time sleeping lately. I’m not sure what it is but I plan on a short vacation soon so that should fix that. Anyway, the reason for this post is because of a discussion I had revolving around some non-work work that I’ve been working on. It seems that there are some problems with some of the way the code has been structured. The most ideal way to restructure it would involve an arduous amount of work and not be easy. A statement was made along the lines of it “not being easy”. I notice it’s an attitude that seems to be prevalent as it was the second time in a span of minutes the phrase was said. The simple fact is that it’s never easy, never. If it’s that easy to do, then you aren’t doing anything interesting or solving any new problems. “If we are going to change the world, it’s not going to be easy”. I have a draft here called “The Myth that Content Management is easy” that will be out; sometime in the future as I’ve been insanely busy. If I post here i’ll make it a couple of pages instead of a post, if anyone thinks it’s an interesting title/topic and wants to publish it let me know, or steal the pages when they are up (couple weeks). This applies to anything though, the general rule is as follows. Whatever it is, it’s never easy, it’s always hard.

Work, has been progressing. Learning new lessons as it relates to the social dynamic; also what would be the typical relationship between creative ideas and the realization of those ideas. Specifically for myself, there are things that can be done but will involve a whole lot of team building to get from point A to point B. I’m learning a great deal on how to be patient, and rationalizing realistic scenario’s based on, well.. the hard cold reality. Even though I can see the end goal sometimes people don’t see the bigger picture until they hit a couple of dead ends. Technology can be confusing this way and mistakes need to be made in order for a people on a team to grow, so far so good though; Krang is being deprecated (yes people, that thing you never heard of, last time you’ll hear me speak on it, or even say the word).

Everything else, I may be tired so this is subject to be a complete ramble about nothing of importance. I just saw something on MSNBC in the relation to the maltreatment of sick and diseased cows being sent to slaughter. Sometimes the human condition is extremely sad.

  1. Can’t wait for the new Boondocks episodes!
  2. I’ve gotta start my run routine again sometime this year.
  3. Possibly going to purchase a new D300 before my trip to Costa Rica.

  5. I tire of political correctness to no end, say what you mean and mean what you say.
  6. There are soldiers, children, and innocent people at war, dying, for…. I don’t care what skirt Spitzer was getting up it’s sad enough he paid for it, then his wife had to endure the humiliation (it is a testament to her character that she remained true to her vows for better or worst. Everyone keeps saying she’s an idiot to stand by him; She’s not. She vowed to do so and for that, I hold her in high regard). Past that. Who. Cares?
  7. New York City, for the first time in my life, is beginning to bore the hell out of me.
  8. Geraldine Ferarro, the whole idea of your claim that because Obama is African-American, being the only reason he’s got this far is a testament to stupidity. He has got this far in-spite the racial hatred a majority of Americans have shown now and in the past towards anyone that isn’t white. Why? Maybe it has something to do with any number of facets besides the color of his skin, or his platform? I can’t say for sure. However, to focus on such tripe as being THE reason he’s made it when it’s clearly usually THE reason to deny. With the clear statement that it’s the primary cause, is why people are calling you racist. You infer that because of skin color he’s getting special privilege, because honestly, if he was white what exactly would be different? He’d be like a majority of nominees before him? He’d be like a majority of the 43 democratic nominees before him? Your logic is FALSE, it’s just.. dumb.
  9. The world is a small place.
  10. It’s 7:11am and I haven’t slept a wink.
