Woke up, I had the same clothes I had on last night; must of passed out

ActiveMQ Krang
Figure I’d show a screenie. I took this a while ago but i’ve been caught in some other projects so ActiveMQ Krang hasn’t progressed much in the last couple of days, besides the threading. Really I should be studying the SQL calls being made but I had to digress. I’m learning that answering questions and helping people figure out their own issues is really time consuming. I set a meeting schedule and invited everyone where I  would of held a presentation on Krang and the way it works but this project came from nowhere and there simply aren’t enough people well versed on Krang. Maybe after this we will have a presentation, well, after the move. Anyway some days it’s hard working with this knowing there is better stuff out there. I took a look at EZ Publish sometime last year, it looks even better now. I may look into exporting all of our data and trying it in EZ Publish but the grass is always greener and all that. The new project involves commenting and setting that system up with Krang. Basically the comment system is entirely independent, krang templates will generate the right include tags to pull stuff in. It’s sad its come to this in 2007. The major problem here is that the producers would like to be able to turn off commentary for an entire category. I can extend the current Category functionality for creating a category to include a bitflag. The only thing then is having to maintain a tag so I can traverse a category looking for files with said tag to add or remove the include for the external comment system. It’s quite pathetic having to do that, it’s disgusting, inefficient and prone to error but I can’t think of any better way right now. Business facing it seems this stuff is thought up on the design side and then functionality is put together on the fly. The problem with that is that on the functionality side of things you don’t get time to think things through which is backwards and makes it more difficult to reach a deadline.

Other than this things are well; no complaints. Went to a motorcycle show over the weekend and saw Harry Potter whatever it was called. The movie was pretty boring and so was the motorcycle show surprisingly.

As I grow older, my brain is beginning to retard to that of a child. I’m impatient, can’t hold my urine and get into these fits of rage. Followed by long naps and whining. It’s like.. it’s like i’m 70-80 yrs old already!
