Multiple Threads aren’t enough
Welp having 5 threads publishing a total of 20727 stories with more than 123215 pieces of media data is still slow as dog poo. It’s 12:19am and I started the publish rougly around 10 oclock with 1 thread, we now have a total of 19924 left to go in the queue and that’s adding an extra 4 threads. Investigating it seems like the sql calls are killing Mysql I don’t even want to bother but I have no choice. Right now it’s faster for lets say publishing directly from Krang via the admin interface. A full site republish though.. dog poo. I’m gonna have to get my SQL abilities up to snuff, what a M, F er..
